Air on a Bass String
John D'Ercole
solo bass guitar

Saturday - April 9

 7:00pm - Potluck Supper
 7:45 - Performance

John D'Ercole
John D'Ercole was born in Sharon, Connecticut in 1987. His formal
music education extended from middle school to Berklee College of Music, where he focused on traditional jazz and contemporary music.

Being greatly inspired by Andrés Segovia, John arranged two of his
favorite classical compositions for the solo bass guitar. His interest in
performing classical music became a passion, and he continued to expand his repertoire. As a result, in 2010 John released his debut CD of classical music for the solo bass guitar.

“John’s bass playing and his gentle manner are so magnificent that I know he’ll be a headline performer before he leaves his twenties.”
-Sid Bernstein 2/16/11

On Saturday, May 21st at 8:00 p.m., she will be engaged in a dialogue by interview and then present a chronology, as well as personal insights, of her many works of art. Over the last twenty years, Danielle Mailer has had solo exhibitions throughout Connecticut, New York City, Provincetown, Massachusetts and Naples, Florida. She is currently preparing for an exhibition with the New Britain Museum with an opening in July, 2011. This show is a major retrospective of Provincetown artists from 1800 to contemporary ones. A Gift of Melody
featuring
Timothy Alexandre Wallace
solo piano

Saturday - June 25

 7:00pm - Potluck Supper
 7:45 - Performance

Sergei Vasilievich Rachmaninoff (1873 – 1943) is widely considered one of the finest pianists of his day and, as a composer, one of the last great representatives of Romanticism in Russian classical music. The piano is featured prominently in Rachmaninoff's compositional output. He made a point of using his own skills as a performer to explore fully the expressive possibilities of the instrument. Even in his earliest works he revealed a sure grasp of idiomatic piano writing and a striking gift for melody.
